Until the next exhibition, the next performance. For artists, income gaps are an unavoidable reality. For fellow artists forced into predatory loans just to afford paint, canvas, and studio rent, proceeds from this artwork become the Seed Fund — extending a fair hand at fair rates.

About the Artist
Jang Kyungho is an installation artist who has been at the forefront of figurative art—one pillar of Korean art that addressed the crisis of the era by tackling issues of humanity and life during the democratization movement of the early 1980s. Since his tenure as director of the Gwanhun Gallery, he has consistently organized exhibitions of Korean contemporary figurative painting to present the substance of figurative art to the public. Through these efforts, he has sought to discover genuine figurative artists who use painting to challenge a flawed world and reflect upon themselves.
