A study or studio is where you stay with one task for a long time. The longer you sit at the desk, the more you need a place for the eye to rest. Too vivid and it breaks concentration; too bare and it turns cold. We chose contemplative mid-size works — restrained in color and generous in space — to sit beside the bookshelf or across from the desk.
