The ideal first original artwork sits in a price range that feels neither cheap nor intimidating. Too low and it feels like a decorative item; too high and the courage does not come. From experience, ₩300,000–₩1,000,000 is the zone where first-time collectors report the highest satisfaction.
This list curates 20 artworks currently on sale at ₩1,000,000 or under from among the 127 participating artists of Seed Art Festival. Mediums, sizes, and themes are diversified so you can compare your taste in one place.
This list is updated monthly. Sold artworks are replaced with new ones. Check real-time availability at the SAF Gallery.
How We Selected — Curation Criteria
These are not just any 20 artworks. We chose them by four criteria:

- Variety: Painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, and mixed media all included
- Career range: A mix of emerging and mid-career artists so you can compare sensibilities
- Artwork density: Works where the labor and technique feel proportionate to the size and price

- Price: ₩700,000
- Size: 71x36cm | Medium: Ink on hanji (Unique original)
- Why this work: A horse rendered in ink on traditional Korean hanji paper. The wide horizontal format lets the gradations of ink carry speed and breath simultaneously — the white space exhales, making the room feel larger.

Every Artwork Is a Seed
Buying artwork at SAF is not a standard art transaction. The 127 participating artists chose to contribute their work voluntarily to help resolve the financial discrimination faced by fellow artists — and the proceeds flow into a low-interest mutual aid loan fund.
The ₩300,000 or ₩1,000,000 you spend on a work becomes one artist's studio rent for the month. That is one more reason to start your collection at SAF.
